Hello

Combine a little bit of earth with a little bit of vision and a whole lot of fire and you open the door to the vast world of ceramics.  I dove deep into ceramics when I took my first (of many) classes—intro to pottery—in September of 2019.  I was instantly in love with clay, its possibilities and its unknowns. A determination to overcome hurdles—mastering centering, pulling walls, finding desirable forms, layering glazes—took hold of me.  I took advantage of my clay center’s ample open studio time-and my learning continued while working alongside other potters who were much more skilled than me. 

I live in Falmouth, Massachusetts—a seaside community on Cape Cod.  The Cape has historically been a place where artists take refuge and find inspiration, and with that there is a strong community of arts minded individuals and organizations. I am so grateful to have learned from so many gracious and willing ceramics educators. 

My work is constantly evolving—I work with three very different clay bodies-each of which offers its own unique opportunity for achieving a creative vision.  My work is inspired by the clay I work with and bold design motifs.  I strive to create functional pieces for table and home and on occasion I do custom work.  My studio is located in the village of North Falmouth.  Anyone interested in my work is welcome to visit me at one of my many shows, see my work at a number of retail shops, or schedule an appointment to come to my studio and see my latest work.
